Change the status of a nest or job

Nest and job status can be changed directly in the Production Manager web app.

Requirements

• An account with a Production Manager role and the Nest Cuts: Change Status permission enabled.

Change the status of a nest

Status can be changed for an entire nest and for individual nest cuts (copies of a nest).

1. On the Nests tab, select the nest you want to change.
2. Select for the nest or individual nest cut, then select a new status.

Change the status of an entire job

Use this method to change the status of all nests in a job.

1. On the Jobs tab, select for the job you want to change.
2. Select a new status.

Considerations

• When a Pending nest is directly changed to Complete, production times in the web app use Estimated Time from ProNest costing.
• When an In Production nest is manually changed to Completed, production times in the web app will use the Actual recorded cutting time in Production Manager. This action is equivalent to selecting the Currently Cutting > Complete button for that nest.
• Changing an In Production or Complete nest to Pending will cause logged cutting information for the nest, such as operator and elapsed time, to be discarded.

Remnants have been allocated

If a remnant or skeleton plate that was created from a nest is used for a different nest, you will not be able to change the status of the original nest.
