Restore a ProNest database

Restoring a ProNest SQL Server database from a backup file can be done from the machine that is hosting ProNest Server.

  • Restoring a database will overwrite the entire existing ProNest database. Potential data loss may result. Be sure to back up the existing database before restoring.

  • Database restoration is an advanced type of action that is normally only done by a database administrator. Please contact us if you need assistance with this process.

Restore a backup of the ProNest database

  1. Run C:\Program Files\Hypertherm CAM\ProNest Server\RestoreTool.exe.
  2. Select the browse button (...), then point to the database backup file (.BAK) that was created previously.
  3. Select Make a backup of existing data first if you want to back up the ProNest database before you restore.
  4. Select Restore.
